The reason why yoga is the right exercise for the kidney

One of the biggest misconceptions that many people have about yoga is that yoga is all about twisting the body like dried noodles. Yes, it is true that yoga requires you to perform certain asanas and exercises that require yo

Yoga for Kidney Problems

The kidney is an organ that is highly underrated. However, if you look at it seriously, without its proper functioning, our body is literally nothing but waste products. All the waste products that we excrete are first filtered through the kidney and only then we urinate.

So, if the kidney is not functioning, our blood is filled with waste products and we might die of poisoning. To maintain kidney health, we need to follow some steps, both medical and non-medical.

Medical means taking medications and non-medical means when we practice yoga and meditation. Now, what causes kidney dysfunction? It can be due to various reasons such as poor blood circulation or less intake of water and fluids. This causes the waste products to accumulate in one place and it becomes difficult to filter through the kidney.

This is why doctors advise us to drink at least 3 liters of water daily (24 hours). Adequate water allows the kidneys to function normally. So when we do yoga regularly, our blood circulation gets normalized and heartbeat also gets back to normal. Overall, the toxins are eliminated from the body and kidney function gets improved. And people thought yoga and kidneys have nothing to do with each other, but yoga has a connection with all parts of the body.

Yoga brings the body functions to a normal level. Anything that is too much or too little gets balanced and the body and normality starts to settle down. You should prefer asanas that deal with lowering the stress level and lowering blood pressure, especially in the lower parts of the body.

Kidney diseases

If kidney diseases are not treated with care and determination, something bad happens. You must have seen many times in films that people have dialogues about people getting surgery and living a healthy life with one kidney while the other kidney has to be removed because it is no longer functioning.

These are not just films, but the real story of many people whose lives have turned into a real hell. If one kidney is damaged, you will either have to undergo dialysis, in which an artificial machine is inserted into the body instead of a kidney. This acts as a replacement for a kidney but needs regular maintenance.

Another solution is a kidney transplant. This is much more effective than dialysis as it does not require maintenance but is also quite expensive.

If both kidneys fail, the chances of survival are very slim. Since there is no kidney, contaminated blood accumulates in the body and the organs function only with pure blood.

Apart from blood, urine and other waste products also mix in the blood, leading to coma and eventually death. In such cases, you will have to get both kidneys transplanted or get dialysis done on both. This is a rare case and surgery is very important in such cases.

Conclusion

Some people consider yoga, meditation and Ayurveda as outdated concepts and hence refrain from using them. In fact, these are outdated concepts but they are still relevant today and will be so for all eternity.

To make your kidneys smile again, you have to work hard and make sacrifices, apart from constantly taking medication.

Start with the first step, which should be to do yoga for at least 30 minutes and drink 3 liters of water every day.
